My First Landscape Painting
The painting you see below is a watercolour painting based on a photograph of the mountains that watch over me from across the bay. This is my first ever traditional landscape painting, and I feel that I captured the sky perfectly, but the middleground is too messy, lacking the detail I wanted. It is just a practice with watercolours, getting used to the techniques and tricks that I’ll need to use in my future paintings.
I’d be very interested to hear your opinion on it as an observer and if you do comment, please be as critical as you can in your comments because I need to hear from other people where I went wrong, and not just from my friends and family.
